How to Create a Concept Map with Algor Education's Quick Map
If you already have an account on Algor Education, simply log in from your PC or tablet using any browser. Otherwise, create a new personal account at app.algoreducation.com. If you have a Google account, you can register in a few clicks.
Once you have logged in, you will find yourself on the Home screen of Algor Education, where you can view the material (concept maps and documents) organized in folders. By clicking on the button with the robot icon "+ Quick Map", you will be asked to enter a topic on which to create your concept map. Choose the topic carefully, as it will be the main theme of your map.
Click on the "Quick Map" button to start automatically creating a concept map from a keyword.
Once you have chosen the main topic of your concept map, all you have to do is type it. Simply write a short phrase or keyword in the appropriate space (such as the name of an event, a historical figure, the title of a work, etc.). Then click on the orange button "Create" to automatically obtain a first draft of the map with the key questions.
Enter the topic you want to explore (e.g. "World War I") and click on "Create" to get the map with the key questions.
In a few seconds, Algor will propose the first level of the concept map with the main questions you should ask yourself about the starting topic. If you want to add more questions, you can do so by creating a child node starting from the title (by clicking on the "+" button) with another question written "by hand". Don't forget to add the final question mark!
The concept map automatically created by Algor with the key questions in the first level. Clicking on the robot icon will give you the answer to the question.
At this point, Algor helps you answer the generated questions by suggesting automatic answers. Just point to the node with the question you are interested in (e.g. What were the main events of World War I?) and click on the button with the robot icon and the "+" symbol. You will automatically get ideas to answer the question in the form of nodes on the map.
Algor automatically answers the key question, suggesting insights and ideas to independently develop the map.
You can continue to expand your concept map by answering other questions. The process is the same: select the node with the question you want to answer and click on the robot icon to get ideas and suggestions for the answers. Each request to the algorithm (each click on the robot) will cost you 2 AI credits.
Remember that with Algor Education, you can customize your map in our editor with nodes written by you or with other multimedia elements: you can insert images, videos, links to web resources.
